What's the value of x when 2x+3 = 3x-4? I would really appreciate a detailed answer as I'm quite stupid in the realm of mathematics. Thank you! :)
2x+3=3x-4 First u subtract 2x from each side. +3=x-4 Now it is positive 3 equals x-4. The next step is to make the negative 4 into a positive or in other words 0. Then u add +4 to each side. 7=x or x=7 Here is the problem worked out: 3x-4=2x+3 -2x -2x x-4=3 +4 +4 x=7 Check by replacing x with 7
2x + 3 = 3x - 4 3x - 2x = 3 + 4 x = 7
