I have had a meniscus tear for about 3 years, and it was this year when it got REALY bad. At first, it was a little pain when a straightened my leg, now, I can not starighten it more the 120-130 degrees. After my official diagnoses 4 months ago, my doctor put me on a waiting list to meet my specialist. I feel like i cant put up with this anymore. I cant take one step that is not excrutiatingly painful, i limp everywhere i go, i cant meet anyone on my freetime, i cant walk my dog, im pratically bed bound aside from going to school. ITS RUINING MY LIFE . I cant handle the pain. Even laying motionless is painful. Ive tried pain killers to help, but it just doesnt do anything anymore. I feel very angry because i know of a couple kids at school who had a meniscus tear, but they were diagnosed early and had surgery to repair it. Im here still waiting. I have a few more months just to meet my specialist, then i have to wait for an appointment. This is also causing pain in my hips as well because im ALWAYS leaning on the non-affected leg. Can I just ask my parents to take me to the ER?
