How can stores sell stuff at such different prices?

I got a new baseball bat for $120 and I saw it online for $50, $200, $75, and $90. Why do stores sell them for such different amounts and how can they afford to do that?
Kindergarten economics; Every businesses motive is to suck as much money out of your wallet as possible. Some businesses think, the best way to accomplish this is to raise prices and make a larger profit per sale. Other businesses think, lowering prices and relying on a higher volume of sales, attains an equivalent amount of profit, + or - a percentage point or two. And a few as Techie suggest, sell previously returned, substandard or counterfeit versions of a product without the customers knowledge to make profit.
Some are not the same quality. Others may buy it cheaper. Some are china fakes which are garbage.
