The leaderboards system was flawed in previous games. You needed to play like 1000 games at least to even be considered to be put on. A lot of the players on the leaderboards didn't even have good records, they just played thousands of games. If they add it back, I hope they use a skill point system like Madden does, where you get more skill points if you beat a good team with a bad team, and get less skill points if you beat a bad team with a good team. In 2k13 my record was like 400 something and 20, but I never even made it on the leader board. I also won most of those games using the Hornets. Having a skill point system would also allow players to play against people at their skill level. It is not very fun for a guy who just started playing 2k to get smashed by veteran. In Madden, I usually find the games more fun because they are close, and I also have a chance to lose, unlike in 2k where I can win by double digits nearly every game. I am currently on a 40 something game win streak on 2k, and that shouldn't be possible in my opinion. In Madden, it would be nearly impossible to win 40 straight games.
