Design a suitable low pass filter to remove the harmonic content of a 1KHz square wave to produce a 1KHz sine wave with less than .5% harmonic distortion contributed by the first harmonic above the fundamental. Assume a 1V amplitude square wave (zero dc offset), design a DC gain of 2. Use Butterworth approximation and set 1-dB bandwidth of the filter to 1KHz. Assume Amax = 1dB, set fp = 1Khz, and fs = 2-3 times fp. 1) Write the Fourier series for the square wave. 2) Define fp, fs, Amax, and Amin required to meet stated specifications.
