I have to present a ten minute oral report in class. I've never been any good at public speaking. I wasn't as nervous when I thought that I got along with everyone in the class, but then, I realized one of the popular kids doesn't like me. I'm very nervous, because I don't want to be made a fool of. She is one of those extremely rude girls. How do I deal with this? :(
One of the best ways to deal with public speaking, is to look at everyone as if they're your friend (even if they don't like you, ) and tell your presentation as if your explaining it to them, because they don't understand it. You need to include your views. As for the girl who doesn't like you, remember "Success is the best revenge" and don't even think about her. Once you leave school, these "popular" children will no longer be a part of your life, and if you spend your time worrying about what they think of you, they're going to drag you down with them. Remember, if all they can do is gossip, give them the best presentation you can, so they can spend their pityfull lives whining "Ugh, why is she so smart?"
