This Chrismas a friend gifted down to me his PS3 60GB system. I was super excited because of the backwards comparability. After having it a few months a problem has arisen. When I was playing my DDR it beeps and turned off then a red light was blinking. I decided I'd worry about it later and completely forgot about the problem(it was 2am and I was tiered) A few days later I had forgotten the breakdown of the device and started it back up with no problems. Its been all good for the last month but then today it did it again. I want to know if this could be a serious issue or it just overheating? In the past it worked again but right now i don't know if it will recover just yet. Any idea of the cause? Please help me ,I love my DDR too much to give it up...
I had a 80 GB ps3 that did the same a while back. Only it never even turned back on at all. I told the problem to GameStop and they said it meant system failure and that the system was pretty much bricked. I couldn't even get the game I had in there out I had to take it apart. Sony couldn't help either so I just got rid of the system all together. Even if you send it to Sony they will just send you a new console anyway.
Buy a new one.
