So today I went out and got a fifth of everclear (190 proof one) just to see what its like, and for sure does the job. Now I am a crazy whiskey/bourbon drinker and can probably out drink a lot of people without a problem. I never had problems with whiskey, dad tells me it probably runs through my blood. But today I took about eight or nine shots of the everclear over an eight hour period without anything with it (regardless of what the bottle says) and for the past hour my insides have been burning like crazy (last shot was about an hour and a half ago) and has been bugging me because of what the labels say; even though I am not a huge believer in what most labels say. Do you think this is serious or something and just wait for awhile before going to a doctor, or something else going on? thanks.
Just because you think something is in your blood and you can handle it doesn't mean to try and push it. I can put whiskey down too, but I am not going to attempt and destroy my body to see how far it'll go. I'll give it a few more hours. If it's still burning then i'd go to the ED. I am not really a doctor or anything but I think you should try getting a liver biopsy one of these days.
