I received a 1099misc..everytime I try filing on TurboxTax its asking for a Sch C. This is my first time receiving a 1099 and I know nothing about it..esp a sch c. My question is how &where do I get a sch C and how do I attatch it in TurboTax?? Detailed answer please..im totally confused!! Thanks
A schedule C is for people that own their own (part-time or full-time) business. The 1099-Misc indicates you are in this category. {I would think TT would take you to the form. You can see what it looks like in irs.gov. - you can print it out, or get it from your library. You really should not need a tax pro.}
If you are that confused then go to a tax pro. It just is not that hard. Turbo Tax asks you the questions and you put in the data. It creates all the forms.
