I have a project for English that asks me how the themes of Shakespeare influenced following works of British literature. I need novels or short stories that use Ambition, Death, and Authority vs. Chaos as either one of its themes or its central theme. However, the kicker is that there has to be one example of literature of each theme per literary age, such as realist, romanticist, modernist etc. and they have to be after Shakespeare. They also have to have British authors. Any examples you can give me would be very helpful as I'm in a rut.
