Wiring for 13w7?

Posted at: 2014-06-09
Okay I have a 13w7 but I need help with the installation. First thing is I bought a T1000-1 rockford amp. The birth sheet states 1555 watts rms at 1 ohm. People say it's possible to wire the 13w7 at 1ohm. Should I do that? Secondly what wiring do I have to buy for my system. People say at least 4 gauge and others say that's not enough. Please I need help.
Here's your wiring kit: The people you're listening to need to pull their head's out of you know where. First, the 13W7 has always had dual 1.5ohm voice coils. Wiring these in parallel will give you a 0.75ohm load. Though the amp is not rated to handle a load like that, I bet it'll play fine. If it overheats and/or kicks into protection, you'll have to run the voice coils in series for a 3 ohm load. You'll only get ~500WRMS out of that amp though. You should have thought about this before you ran out and dropped a G on equipment...
