Blue Screen O' Death - Scanning and repairing the drive externally?

My computer upon boot-up says that there is a diskette drive failure. Upon attaching my hard drive into another computer (using the pre-existing CD-ROM hookup), I was able to access my hard drive's still-intact files so I know that the drive isn't corrupted, The windows disk repair, in which I used both 'scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors' and '_', say that there are no errors on the disk. So is there another software that would be able to repair it, or could it be another problem. Could replacing the PCB solve it, i don"t know if that is the case if the files would still be accessible.
Diskette means the floppy disk. Does your PC have a floppy disk? If so the cable could be on wrong , dislodged , or the power cable is off. In any case, go into the BIOS , set the BIOS to disable Floppy. Save settings &reboot
If your computer is reporting "diskette drive failure", my friend, it's looking for a floppy disk drive with a floppy disk inserted. You need to enter the BIOS/CMOS Setup and disable floppy disk drive, save the change, then reboot your computer.
