If I had Bill Gates money, one of the first projects I would undertake is buying the world's most treasured paintings that money could buy, under the guise of amassing a collection for a public museum. At the museum opening, the walls would be completely empty, and the only display would be a looped film of me throwing the paintings on a bonfire, one at a time, projected onto the wall. If an overly-sensitive art historian then killed himself or herself, and cited my "senseless act" as the final trigger, could I be sued by the family? And how much could I be sued for?
Bill does own expensive paintings and. If he didn't want them anymore he would just sell them. Believe or not there are persons in this world who do sensible things every day of their lives.
