Hi. I have been building a very special robot but I require 240 volt dc to power it with a supply up to 3kw. I want to run it off 12 or 24 volt. Where on this planet can I find a suitable DC converter to convert 12 or 24 volt DC up to the 240 volt DC I require. And up to 3000 watts? All normal inverters are AC mains which will blow up the electronics of the machine. I require DC in and DC out? Many thanks
3kW at 12 volts needs a current of 250 amps, at 24 volts it needs 125 amps. This is before taking into account any conversion losses. You are unlikely to find any equipment to provide that capability at an affordable price.
