Write the given numbers in ascending order - 5, 5, 5, 5, 7, 7, 7, 8, n For the median to be 7, the number exactly in the midway should be = 7. Any value of n which is greater than or equal to 7 will give you a median of 7 But it is also said that 5 is the only mode. So if u take a value of 7 for n then you will get two modes(4 5's and 4 7's). Therefore n should be greater than or equal to 8 to satisfy both conditions So except 6, all other numbers can be n in your options. SO ans = 6. Option A
