I would say wait at least a week. This is to let him get used to his new home, let him get settled in. Also when you start handling him, don't just take him out and walk around the house with him. Start by just picking him up gently and only for a few minutes a day, you can do this 3-5 times a week after you first feed him. Over time you can start handling him more often and longer once he trusts you. Eventually you'll be able to walk him around your house, this could take a month to 2-3 months if your patient and gentle. Just little reminders: don't handle him at all when he's about to/in the middle of a shed or for at least 24 hours after he eats. Hope this helps
at least 1 week. however to be really safe dont handle the snake untill it has eaten twice with out refusing or reguritating. if at all the snake refuses to eat after that tone back the in hand time.
