How much of an error is this in terms of research for my thesis?

Hi guys. I'm a final year undergraduate student, currently in the process of writing my final year thesis (well it's technically a dissertation). The topic which I have chosen is Russian homophobia. I was looking for participants and therefore I created a page on facebook and posted something on the page, which got shared by loads of people. I live in a Western country and my page and the post on the page was being shared in Moscow and St Petersberg, so yeah it had a good effect. The 'error' which I am concerned about is the fact that the page was called 'LGBT research' and in the post I made, I explicitly referred to my desire to interview 'Russians who are members of the LGBT community to get their own experiences of living in Russian society'. Now, don't get me wrong, LGBT and homosexuality are often correlated to the point where one may forget about the fact it also means bisexual and transgender. However, I got a load of participants e-mailing me. I have confirmed to them it's about Russian homophobia, and not about attitudes towards bisexuals or transgenders, therefore it's not like I'm fooling or deceiving my interviewees; they know the drill. However, have I made a severe technical error in terms of methodology? If my supervisor or perhaps marker saw the post as a means of 'monitoring' my research methodology, would they see that as quite a big technical error in trying to get participants? Even though my participants know that it is about homophobia?
