I currently have AT&T DSL internet and a home phone line. I was thinking of ONLY upgrading my internet to a higher plan. When I called to see if I could upgrade, they told me I could upgrade my internet with a u-verse plan. They wanted me to get the cable, phone, and internet, but I told the representative that I only wanted to upgrade my internet. I need a consistent speed for a laptop, 2 iPads, and for online gaming. My brother usually complains about the lag on his online gaming, while the other devices work okay. I think I run at a 1.5 mbps ( I know it's ****! but kinda works). This was not a problem before, because we did not have many devices that uses wifi/internet. Now that our devices have increased, we have noticed it's affect on all of us. I pay an additional 7 for the home phone which amounts my monthly bill to be about $ 46 a month. I'm thinking of upgrading to the 3mbps package, which will make agree to a new contract of paying 29.95 for 12 months and then after paying the regular price which is 47 plus the extra fee on my landline. I'm not sure about this because MANY people have been complaining about U-verse. I don't know if it's the people who have U-verse for cable, phone, and internet, or if it's everyone in general. Some insight will be helpful!
