Steroids or not, he is the greatest player to ever live. His WAR explains it. You guys just think that steroids make players turn into stars. Look at guys like Jordany Valdespin and Freddy Galvis, they're not even good and took steroids. Wake up, steroids don't improve skill. Just make you stronger.
I actually believe he would've been a much more dynamic player if he hadn't of taken steroids, he was an amazing base stealer in his youth. Despite that, there is NO denying his talent. Verdict: Great Player.

Wow. A couple of real idiots responded to this question first. I wonder who turned the computer on for them. Bonds is, to put it kindly, trash. It is a travesty that MLB (Read: Bud Selig) allows this piece of crap to darken the door of any major league clubhouse. He is/was not an asset to the game...he is a disgrace. He should be banned for life.
Just another helpless son of a rich man (Bobby Bonds). I heard while he had a normal body, he was awful. But PEDs turned him into superman. That is what I heard from a lot of smart baseball people say.
A complete disgrace. What's unfortunate is that while I don't know exactly when he started using various PEDs, and whether if they were legal or illegal at the time, Bonds had talent. Maybe not HOF caliber but it wasn't as if he became Joe to Pro overnight eh? But greed caused him and many others to abuse their bodies as well as disgrace integrity of the game.
