Question about the Hawker Hurricane.?

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong place, but there is not sub-section for ww2 planes soo...haha anyway my question is about the Hawker Hurricane (1937+) and about why its range is marked as so low. e.g on this website its marked at Maximum Range: 460miles (740km) ( but on wiki its marked as, Range: 600 mi (965 km) few other examples; Range: 480 miles (772 km) ( the engine is the 1 x Rolls-Royce Merlin III 12-cylinder liquid-cooled. compared to the spitfires (1938) 1 x Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 liquid-cooled V-12 which gives it a Maximum Range of 1,135miles (1,827km). could it be the ranges are affected by the different armaments or speeds at different heights? why is it the spitfire has such a massive range advantage over the hawker? so im asking for your thoughts, knowledge on this plane and its range.
The Spitfire had larger fuel tanks and greater fuel capacity. Easy answer. I flew out of RAF Coningsby in 1981 where they had the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight which was two Hawker Hurricanes, four Spitfires, and a Lancaster bomber, all in flying condition. I had the chance to crawl through all three types of aircraft.
Range absolutely would be affected by the armament carried (due to weight and drag) and the altitude and speed flown. I can't tell you exactly how that affected the Hurricane.
