We have been best friends for 8 years, and we're both 16. Her and her long distance boyfriend just recently spent a week together and decided to take each others virginity. He didn't want me to know (though I first heard the news from all his friends), but she decided to tell me anyway because she would want to know if I decided to lose mine, too. Ever since she told me she had sex, she has been distant. When we talk to each other, she seems normal, but she doesn't want to hang out outside of school anymore. She has asked my opinion on the matter multiple times, and when I tell her "I'm waiting myself, but you and your boyfriends decisions are your own to make" she gets offended/upset, and always feels the need to explain how "it was for love". Does she just regret losing it? She seems to be emotionally struggling ever since she gave her virginity up, I'm just not sure why.
