I currently work full time in the entertainment industry while going to law school at night, thankfully making the Top 20% after my first year. My job, through multiple personnel, has told me that they don't hire legal interns and it is difficult to get a job in-house as a first year. I have the opportunity to participate in some useful legal courses and an honors program, and possibly take legal internships in the entertainment industry, but to take advantage of any of them would require me to leave my full time job in the industry. Is it worth foregoing the income of a full-time job to gain legal experience and resume points if my ultimate goal is to be a working lawyer in the industry that I'm already in?
