So I stretched to an 8g around November I believe, and I tried stretching to a 6g for the first time in like February with no luck at all. So then I tried the taping method the end of March and for some reason, the second layer of tape that I added made my ear tear and bleed and so I had to take off the tape and stay at my current size. I really want to stretch to a 6g and I don't understand why it's being so difficult. I use steel tapers and plugs and bio oil for lube and I still can't figure out what's wrong. The girls at hot topic told me that my ears probably just wouldn't stretch anymore and I really hope that isn't true. Tomorrow, I would like to attempt the stretch again as it's been two weeks since the small tear I had. Someone suggested that I just leave the tapers in for a few hours and push it through slowly every hour or so - would this work? What can I do to make sure this works? :( Any help/suggestions/feedback is welcome. Thank you!
Okay so your last statement would be my recommendation. I stretched to a 2g (my biggest) my right ear had no problem but my left ear just refused. Start it slowly and when it hurts give it a break, use the oils or even do it in a hot shower as the heat loosens the skin a little bit. It'll take some time doing it this way but it'll help prevent a total tear. Best of luck and good for you taking it slow, they look so gross when people skip sizes and go to fast :)
