ok I am 13, and I have a lot of trouble learning I told my mom and she says there is nothing wrong with me I just do not want to learn, but I do want to learn no one helps me and im falling behind in school I am at 20% and my school and sis and cuz are at about 80% they are 11. I am home schooled Idk I might have dyslecia or adhd I nave a hard time reading and spelling, I also have trouble when trying to work I zone out or do something els cause something els cought my eye even when talking to someone I zone out. I told my mom what I might have but she is not calling the doc and I also have a problem with eye contact my mom gets mad at me but I try and I cant keep it no more than 30sec or less. plz help and I also have no friends to help or talk to.
Adults can be blinded about the fact that something is not the norm. I will go as far as avoid. This is just something we do not do intently. You seem pretty smart so I would look up things on the condition of dyslexia and just have her seat down while i talk about it and have material that she could follow along with. Don't try to say you have it just yet. After she seems to understand then I would tell her "I think I might have a learning problem and I need help. It may not be dyslexia but I know I have a hard time learning and want too so if I could get tested so we at least know what it is then we can find out a way for me to learn". If nothing else she will know you're sincere. You should also see if the local school will pay for the testing. I don't know how you're system works but here home schooling is still under the public school policy and the public school your under will pay for the testing and materials.
