I recently ordered a steel block for hammering wire, and also some wire. I have a hammer and wire cutters already. What else to get, as a beginner? Supplies and beads and such? THANKS!!
Do you have the right kind of hammer for hammering wire? A carpenter's hammer from the hardware store isn't appropriate for hammering wire. You'd need, at the least, some fine files, a buffing wheel and buffing compounds, different types of pliers to shape the metal, probably a jeweler's saw and blades, and a bench vise.
Depends on what kind of jewelry you're planning on making.
