Why do people get so mad about conflict of opinion?

Is it worth even expressing your own opinion? I've been trying to express no opinion, specifically when dealing with my older brother. I figure an opinion is yours and yours only. Why try to change, or even express your owm, you will have yours and they will still have yours. This is all stemming from my brother getting mad at me yesterday. He said he is listening to kmk, and it brings him back. I said they are good preformers, but musically not talented. He plays no instruments or has any knowledge of music or music theory (hence listening to kmk) thoughi dont act pretentious about it. (I realize I come off that way here, and please understand I dont know much music theory, but I know some) I play music everyday, i consider it my one passion. Piano and drums is all I do and have been doing for over 10 years now. Now was it even worth saying? Should I express any opinion? I have them, I have strong opinons, but do people really need to hear them? Do I really need to show people my interests (again specifically my family)? They are mine, does anyone else care or need to hear them? Whats your opinion?
