Ok, suppose we have a far right government, such as UKIP or BNP, or any government for that matter, can or would they take my citizenship or indefinite leave to remain away. I'm an American who has been living in the UK for almost nine years now. I've never broken the law and never claimed benefits. Is it likely or possible that a UKIP government would take my permanent residence or citizenship away?
No, you are an American and thus seen by UKIP as 'one of us'. People such as the French and the Germans are seen as 'foreigners' and it is they and others from far away, whom UKIP seek to deny the right of abode to live here in UK. Frankly the very idea of a single issue party in power fills me with horror. It will simply let the Genie out of the bottle thus the far right lunatics will take over - and then what? End of democracy - if that has not already happened. There is only one reason why I wish UK to leave the EU and it is clearly explained in these links. Firstly it is extremely unlikely that either UKIP or BNP or any similar party would ever reach a position of being in a majority in parliament (they have no seats at all currently). Even if they won some seats it is extremely unlikely that they would ever be able to pass legislation and get Royal consent to a bill that would do what you fear. I rather doubt they would even want to.
