I wouldn't think so, are you able to test a piece with your heat lamp? Plexi-glass is usually heat treated on it's own and it's designed to get pretty warm, but I've taken the surface temperatures of my own CHE and it reaches over 550 degrees F, which is HOT. Granted, the dome around it only reaches 140 degrees F and this is the part that's touching the screen, it's still something to be aware of. I would just make sure that you test it with a heat lamp to just to be on the safe side, but I honestly don't envision you having any issues as far as heat goes. I wish you the best of luck in making your viv, I'm sure it'll look great!
I would just buy one from a pet store. EXO-TERRA is the best one to buy.
