Just got to write a 500 word personal statement for my application to a biochemistry major. I dont know how to express my interest in biochemistry without sounding too hammy (id rather avoid the "I've always been interested in proteins and ect.") I'm very much more interested in pharmacology though. I was wondering if I could tie in my interest in pharmacology into the essay without sounding too distant from biochemistry overall. Honestly, the only reason I'm (hoping) to get into biochemistry is to prepare myself better for pharmacy school. Can I actually mention this?
