Could I use this as a comparison?

I'm in year 10 and I have to do a spoken language essay on comparison. We're doing two chefs (Jamie Oliver and Michel Roux). Anyway, I was wondering if I could use this as a comparison, but I feel as though it don't make sense? Jamie uses a lot of pronoun contractions such as we're (This is what I'm not sure about) whereas Michel uses plain pronouns, mostly "I". I want to try and get across that they do both use some form of pronoun, but the result of Jamie using pronoun contractions has a different affect compared to Michel who uses plain pronouns. Sorry if this don't make sense. I'm just really struggling to write this essay as I'm finding it hard to find things to compare. Could this work?
