Do I have a pulled muscle in my leg?

Ok so today I was at a track meet and I was running the 4 by 1. I am the second leg and I was getting ready to hand off the baton to the 3rd person and the exchange zone was closing so I basically threw myself at the girl and she grabbed the baton. I fell and tripped and I scratched my hands, thigh, and my knee. I was fine and then I tried to get up and my thigh starts to hurt really bad. And I am not a wimp but I started to cry. Not for long though. I then started to walk even though it really hurt. I walk over to the finish line and I still had to do the 4 by 4. My coach comes up to me and starts to talk. I said I'm fine and he has me jog and I was fine. He said that I was really limping and that I could barely walk let alone run. So I didn't do the 4 by 4. So my thigh still really hurts and I don't know what to do. Do you think I have a pulled muscle and if I do how do I treat it? Also how long does it take to heal? By the way it hurts on the back, front and side of my right thigh.
From what you describe, you should see a doctor right away. Sprains with often heal in a week or so, but yours sounds like something worse. Untreated, it might become an ongoing problem, keeping you from any sports.
