My child's father is very difficult I have an important meeting tomorrow I cannot miss, I explained to him he could either come pick the child up or I would be 2 to 3 hours late as we live 2 hours apart, he is threatening me telling me I am violating the court order if I don't make it by 30 minutes after the drop off time but I thought it was only violating if you didn't explain the situation the to the other parent , this is in florida, thanks
Ultimately it is up to the judge, but if you are making a "good faith effort" to honor the order and have a real reason for missing by a half hour, most judges are sympathetic.
