I'm going to hear Henry Kissinger speak in a few weeks. I hope to have am opportunity to ask him a question about current geopolitical developments in the Middle East. I was wondering whether I should address him as "Dr. Kissinger" or "Secretary Kissinger"? I understand that Presidents keep their titles, but do Secretaries of State?
Politicians keep their titles. Kissinger will be addressed as "Mr. Secretary".
For some reason all the big heads keep their titles.
