I don't have access to a retainer There are side quests, but for "reasons" lets assume they aren't currently an option Items have no value to NPC vendors (like 1-2 gil value, unless they are gil pouch looking things) _________________________ Are the only gil making options gated behind side quests and level 20?
Side quests, Levequests, and Duty Finder are pretty much it. Duty Roulette daily bonuses are pretty good but they're based on your current level, and then you get a bonus for completing each Guildhest the first time on each class. You should have access to retainers by now though if you have airship access, after you beat the three first dungeons and complete the quest "Scions of the Seventh Dawn". You just need to talk to a Retainer Vocate in any of the three starting cities at that point. So yeah, get working on those story quests. You don't really need a ton of money until you hit 50 and you have more options to earn it then too.
