A lot of online schools do offer language classes. My son is in an online high school and is currently taking Latin. It may be somewhat harder than taking it in a classroom environment, because you don't have instant feedback on your speech, translations, etc., and you don't hear other students speaking and translating, which can be really helpful. But it depends on your learning style. And part of it isn't all that different from when I was in college and we had to physically go the "language lab" where you'd ask a guy behind a counter to put on a reel-to-reel tape with German Lesson #27 on it and you'd use a set of headphones to practice listening and speaking. But we did have in-person classes too. So I guess it depends on your learning style. If you're the kind of learner who can learn this stuff mostly out of a book, it will be easier than if you really need to be in give and take conversation with real people to learn the language.
