How can I transfer files to CD without losing the date created info?

Posted at: 2014-06-09
Whenever I copy files that were created on Jan 1, 2012 and paste them to a USB flash drive, the files still maintain the data showing that they were created on Jan 1, 2012. However when I copy and paste those same files onto a CD on April 8, 2014, It will say the files were created on April 8, 2014 instead of Jan 1, 2012. How can I get the files onto a CD without losing the original date created info?
Copying any file will change the date no matter where you copy it too or from however moving it keeps the date intact. I don't know your reason for wanting it to stay but you could move it to the flash drive then copy it back to your computer that way your computer will have the newer date and the flash drive the original date.
Maybe you can change your system date and then transfer them?
