I want to start a diet but my parents keeping going against it?

So I'm 19 and living with my mom and her husband (not my dad). Okay so it starts off with the fact that I've been getting a bit chubby, and its getting to the point where I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with my body, especially the chest where a belly is showing, big time. Now I want to start doing small excerise routines (jogging early in the morning, push ups and sit ups at night after college, go to the gym and go swimming a few times a week) plus I want to try and improve my diet so I gain lose wait and maybe get myself a little muscle tone. Now usually, we eat fried foods every other night pretty much, or there are a lot of nights where we have chinese takeaway. I've been mentioning to my mum and stepdad that I do not want to do this anymore, or at least, cut down and eat more healthier then fried fish and chips and that stuff. They keep saying that I dont need to diet to lose weight and gain muscle and pretty much tell me no when they really dont have a say in it. They judge my decisions on it, saying alls I need to do is excerise. But thats not true, I should be dieting as well to help! They do not have a right to tell me what I can or cant eat, and when I refuse to eat the foods they give me, they practiclaly yell at me and force me to eat it. If I try to toss it, they threaten to kick me out of the house, it doesnt matter if I live under their roof, they dont tell me what to eat! What do I do?
jeez what would they do if you were badly behaved towards them, all i'd suggest is maybe try and offer to cook your family some healthier options and enjoy them together, maybe that's why they are so opposed to it because they feel you don't want to eat with them. If not I'd tell them not to order food or cook for you and eat something else. Good luck!
