Is a USMC reservist (future USMC officer) and a person enlisted in the navy considered fraternization?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over a year an he decided to enlist in the navy. I will be in the reserve split program for the United States Marine Corps. While I am attending college, I will be in a Marine ROTC unit as well. We want to stay together but we both agree it would not be worth the trouble of ruining our futures. Please help.
Don't listen to Smartest guy. It will not be fraternization. For it to be fraternization, the contact with your boyfriend must have compromised the chain of command, resulted in the appearance of partiality, or otherwise undermined good order, discipline, authority, or morale. Since the 2 of you are in different branches of the military, fraternization would never apply. Regulations, directives, and orders may also govern conduct between officer and enlisted personnel on both a service-wide and a local basis. Relationships between enlisted persons of different ranks, or between officers of different ranks may be similarly covered. Violations of such regulations, directives, or orders may be punishable under Article 92(Failure to obey an order)
No, the odds are remote that either of you will be in a position to help the other.
If you plan is to make a career out of The Corps as a Marine Officer I suggest you think long and hard about your decisions...I'm not sure if it meets the letter of the law of fraternization or not (as I recall Officers are not allowed to date any enlisted personnel), but even if it doesn't it will not reflect well on you in the Officers Corps. The Marine Corps is the most traditional of all the military branches, as a female you'll be battling up hill to start with and to have an enlisted BF is, well does not exhibit sound judgement in my opinion.
