I agree with punchie but I would suggest creating a "multi-purpose" sauce that's just not good for poultry but for beef, pork and fish. it's called "sofrito": take 1 each bell pepper, chopped, 1 onion, peeled and chopped, 1 garlic clove, minced, 1 tomato, chopped, 1 bunch cilantro, chopped and 2 tbsp. EACH Sazon seasoning and GOYA all-purpose seasoning, blend it and season meat and proceed to grill or bake. Store remainder in a bowl with a lid. It'll keep for about a week. Also invest in a grill pan when cooking It adds lots of flavor. Hope this helps :) Thanks for asking, Southern Fried Cook :)
SALT is what accentuates the flavor of the herbs in Mrs Dash, but it is sold as salt free seasoning for those afraid of salt. Salt has Iodine added or Sea Salt has natural Iodine and other elements already. Iodine is necessary to the human body to prevent thyroid disorders such as goiter. I blend some salt with the herbs in Mrs Dash as they are great and the salt improves the flavor of most all foods including sweets.
Yep, you hit the nail on the head. Mrs. Dash leaves alot of flavor to be desired. Suggestion...make your own "salt free" or "light salt" seasoning. Put more of the flavors you enjoy AND add in freshly cracked pepper to really bring home the flavors (ground black pepper from the can is usually tasteless). Just buy several dried ground herbs and mix up to your preference. A little salt goes a long way.
