I'm not exactly sure how to explain the problem as it happens so infrequently. I can go a few days without it happening at all but okay here goes. Sometimes while I'm driving straight (not turning) I will hear a rubber on rubber sound followed by a jerk or tiny halt it seems to be coming from the right side of the Taurus front of the car. I know that I could probably use an alignment. I haven't had one in a while but have had my cv joints tested. Mechanics said there's little to no play in them. I was wondering if an alignment issue could cause this. Or might it be something more serious? Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks for any advice.
