So I have an arachnoid cyst the size of a golfball in my head. Because of that I also have 2 vp shunts(tubes that go from my head to my stomach and drain the excess fluid caused by hydrocephalus.) Last week I had an ocular migraine a very weird experience where I lost my vision in my left eye for around a half an hour. My doctor wants to do a cat-scan to make sure everything is ok. I think everything is alright but I just want to be on the safe side and have the cat-scan. What is the average cost of a cat scan of the head with insurance.
