I've never played it before, any of the versions. I know there's extension packs and things, but can I just buy those and play or do I need, like with Sims 3, the one that says "The Sims 3" on the cover? Any help is great! Thanks!

you cant obnly buy expansion packs you have to buy original game first. I really like sims 3 the most. I have played all of them and the sims i have all the expansion packs for the sims. Sims 4 is comeing out soon , sometime in 2014. I bet it would be the most fun because of options but at the same time your computer might freeze up all the time with better graphics unless you have a gaming computer. I had a problem playing sims 3 in windows 8 sim creator dosent work, but the actual game works. good luck, have fun.
