I'm with Verizon and my contract ends in 5 days, Can I just stop paying? I plan to switch to AT&T and don't want to be charged with a final bill from Verizon and my first months AT&T bill.
You have to tell them the day after your months billing cycle ends if your past your contract end date (login to myverizon go to your line click on contract end date) then yes you can call 611 from your Verizon phone they can't charge you. And you just pay what you owe them for the bill. There's no charge for simply just saying no more but you need to do it the day after your billing cycle ends. If you do it mid month past your contract end date they will pro rate you pay the difference..
