If a man tries to physically overpower you and have sex with you, how do you know he doesn't intend to kill you when he's done? You do whatever you have to in order to get yourself out of that situation. If you can temporarily slow him down and run away, that would be the first option.
Technically that is text book self defense, but today's culture has somehow gotten the idea that rape is okay under certain circumstances, so there's no telling how a jury would vote. Statistically, if the woman is black or Hispanic, she's far more likely to be charged and convicted of murder.

I would consider that to an act of self defense, but she would also have to prove this in court if she was charged with committing a crime. I don't know of too many juries that would disagree that it is self defense.
