I have an actual legit copy of soul silver not a ROM. So when I start up the game its all fine but when I click on the save file its just a black screen with the music. This is really annoying because it happened last time I tryed to play but I assumed it was because I happened to leave my DS in the car on a midly hot day. Now it happened again and I am really angry because I worked so hard. Is there anyway to salvage the game or just buy a new one?
Clean the contacts with rubbing alcohol and a Q-Tip. If that doesn't help you will probably have to replace the battery which means opening the cartridge. You will lose your save. I can give instructions if you want. It also may be as simple as a save corruption and having to start over. If THAT doesn't work the game is simply dead.
