So I did a lab today and I am stuck on the part of where it says to find the Heat, Q. I know the equation I'm supposed to use is Q=mCdeltaT The data I got was Mass of solid NaOH: 2.05g Mass (total) of solution: 97.66g Final Temperature: 26.0 deg C Initial Temperature: 21.0 deg C Change in Temperature: 3.9 deg C Also, 100mL of water was used for this reaction. I know that "C" would be 4.18 J/g deg C (cause the specific heat of water is 4.18 J/g deg C). I know that "delta T" would be 3.9 deg C. But I don't know which mass to use for "m". Anyone please help me?
