How many silver (Ag) atoms are in a silver bar that is 20.0 g? A-6.02 3 10^23 ag atoms B-1.3 3 10^27 ag atoms C-1.8 3 10^23 ag atoms D-1.1 3 10^23 ag atoms I don't even know where to begin when solving this problem. Thanks! If you could explain it that would really help.
20.0g Silver bar ? (1 mole Ag/ 107.87g Ag) ? (6.02x10^23 molecules/ 1 mole Ag) = 1.12x10^23 Ag atoms/molecules My answer is a little off probably due to the molar mass in my periodic tables. Just remember this: 1 mole = 6.02x10^23 molecules/atoms So you just need to convert the gram to mole, then mole to atoms The answer is D
