I've had experience with chicks in the past. I've found that in almost every flock, a couple tends to die from some sort of disease. The disease causes them to get too weak to eat, drink or even walk. Then they slowly die. I just got me a batch of speckled Sussex chicks and I want this to be a success. What is the disease called and how can I prevent it? Thank you for any help!
sounds like Marek's disease. google it
chicks can be really hard to get all of them to live, try separating them into smaller flocks. depending on how many you have. Watch them and see if they are picking on each other a lot. that will also make them weaker and more vulnerable to illness. hope it helps!
