All i know is that the big dog is part pit bull and my other is a Maltese whenever hes excited he tries to attack my dog he just did and we didnt pull him apart fast enough and he bit him and he started to bleed on his nose what do we do because he keeps attacking him can we fix it the big dog is almost a year what can we do to fix it or else we have to get rid of him

Get rid of one of them or keep them apart. A shock collar will only make him obey when you are there. He will learn quickly that it is all right to attack when you aren't there.
Buy a shock collar and shock him when ever he seems like he's going to attack. And if he does pull them apart, flick the pit bulls nose, and put him in a cage.
