Lately my fingertips on both hands get badly wrinkled and dry to the point that they hurt and feel like they are beginning to crack, and then it will suddenly go away. The only logical explanation in my mind is dehydration, but I consume a good amount of water every day (probably a gallon more or less) and there's been times in the past where I drank no water and sweated profusely and did not experience this. Since my water consumption hasn't changed, maybe my body is not absorbing the water for some reason? Haven't been to the doctor yet. I read about a similar case and someone suggested maybe it was a form of diabetes insipidus brought on by hypothalamus or pituitary problems, but they said the symptoms would include excessive urination, excessive thirst, and weight loss, which I am experiencing none of. I have been getting sharp headache pains in the back of my head lately. I hope I haven't developed a brain tumor that's causing this to happen or something. I lead a moderately healthy lifestyle aside from the fact that I smoke alot of marijuana. I try to use a water pipe with multiple forms of filtration as opposed to papers/cigars, etc. I try to be as physically active as my schedule allows. I do yoga, alot of calisthenics, etc. I have been slacking on my cardio big time though and I am a bit overweight right now. I try to incorporate vegetables into my diet as often as possible, I do not drink soda, I drink alcohol socially. I am a 33 year old male.
